A rapid method for sex identification in <i>Cannabis sativa</i> using high resolution melt analysis

چکیده
We report the identification of two single nucleotide polymorphisms in Cannabis sativa L. that are associated with female and male plant sex phenotypes located on top arm X chromosome. High resolution melt analysis was used to develop validate a novel, rapid method for medical (or) recreational cannabis as well hemp. This can distinguish between dioecious (XY) (XX) plants 100% accuracy also be differentiate Humulus lupulus (hop) plants.
